Meet The Practitioners...

A wonderful insight to the practitioners that you may meet, what they do and how they try to help...

Meeting your Team

I know all too well how it feels to become a SEND parent and to have an overwhelming amount of practitioners all come at once in order to create 'your team'. The fear of the unknown is one that will travel this journey with you and there is no bigger fear at this time than what comes next? Or in fact who?

With every service provided there is a practitioner there to see that you get the support your child needs, make sure it is done well and that your family is supported to.
It was very important to me to add this section to the website to give those practitioner a voice to hopefully help you understand their roles, what is important to them and to help you feel more comfortable when attending appointments and allowing someone into your home.

The practitioners that you are provided with are there to help and support your family.

You will certainly get those that become like family, those that you don't rate very highly and those that you only see once in a while but they are there to teach you more than you know.
We used to see a someones every other day when Delilah was little, when she started school they seemed to drop off and we began to feel a little abandoned. It is only now I can understand that they in fact taught us everything we needed to know to be able to look after our child, that they are always at the end of the phone and are still very supportive.

We asked some of Delilah's team to share who they are, what their job roles are and what is important to them in order to give you an insight of the different support you may be provided. You will find their pieces in the drop down menu above under meet the practitioners.

I hope you enjoy reading and feel free to suggest practitioner or ask any questions in the comment section...
